SIA & Training

All security staff are trained to Security Industry Association standards to obtain an S.I.A. licence as required by law. At SLS we continue staff training beyond this level, to the high standards we have developed. Our program has developed for twenty years with input from specialist police training officers. Our most valuable asset is our experience in a wide range of jobs and situations, which is integrated into our training.

Training subjects include: • S.I.A • Personal conduct • Crowd dynamics • Access control • Crowd management • Emergency procedures • Interpersonal skills • Searching • Legal responsibilities • Communications • Emergency first aid • Use of fire extinguishers • Drug recognition

Supervisory, driving and emergency planning courses are given to senior staff as they progress in their employment within this company. All staff receive refresher training on a regular basis.
